Programme

There is a full programme of events celebrating the natural, authentic, expressive voice in each of us ranging from whole-camp sing-alongs to specialised small group sessions, including on-going and one-off voice workshops.

There are opportunities for groups and individuals to participate in a supportive performance space. We also have morning gatherings, Dances of Universal Peace, drumming, campfire sharing and spontaneous events.

A few of our additional specialities:

Harmonic Temple
A magical soundspace created when a group meets in spirit through vocal harmony. For the last 13 years Nickomo & Rasullah have been perfecting a repertoire of chants, prayers and affirmations to achieve this ecstatic immersion in sound using texts from many different spiritual sources, and they are now sung around the world. It is accessible to singers of all levels of ability, and is a wonderful way to start the day.

7 Words
This personal development model is based on the idea that all communication and behaviour can be studied as one of 7 archetypes that are simply expressed by the words: No, Hello, Thanks, Goodbye, Please, Sorry and Yes. The system’s originator - James Burgess - will present the theory and personal applications within the context of a daily sharing group.

Dances of Universal Peace
They provide a joyful, multi-cultural way to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and others. Being inspired by the wisdom and sacred phrases of the many spiritual traditions of humankind, the Dances are a form of celebration and meditation in sound and movement. We will have daily morning and evening sessions of the Dances, led by experienced international dance leaders, Amida Harvey, Rasullah Clarke, and James Burgess.

We sing mostly in 4-part harmony in groups of 12 to 50, led by joyful experienced teachers. No special skills or previous experience are needed to participate, just an open heart.
